Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. The role she played brought her an Emmy nod for the best supporting Actress category. She also received two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna observed as her mom Anne was in the church stage. Her love for performance and theatre was cultivated as a little girl.
She is a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg and ran for record-breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey, Fischer's real-life friend as well as a castmate, started Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became extremely popular, and was ranked in the Top Ten of the world every week. It received over 200,000,000 downloads during its first 2 years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Awards in January 2021.
She's published two books: The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her path to Hollywood acting as a professional, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, an account of the most memorable friendship they had and their time on The Office.
