Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The children were sleeping asleep in their cribs while I was strapped to one of them on my back. Ha! The house was getting closer to completing, however we were a long distance away. In order to furnish the house would take a lot of effort with regards to time and money. It was also going to be a challenge to do my favourite shopping. To stay on budget I began going to estate sales with my three boys searching for jewels in the rough. Each week we would spend the week of Thursday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. Then I stenciled and polished the driveway throughout the week. It looked a bit similar to this... Here is where my obsession with restoring antique furniture started. Even though the house had been decorated, I was unable to put down. In the market in town I set up a little space, and also sold pieces. In the end, I accumulated more items that I had no idea how to use them and outgrew the space. Over 1000 people visited my home over the course of a weekend to purchase everything that was on the ground. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Growing Days was more than an incredibly successful business, but also my sweet family. I was finding that balance of having starting a business while also being a mommy. Growing Days seemed like the perfect match. Nora, my 4th kid was born in 2013. My business's direction was excellent, however I had to take some time off. I took a break from creating furniture for vintage homes, and slowed down my pace to be at home to help my children. That was exactly what i required. After some time. They were asking for my help in interior decoration and home renovations. The majority of them had attended my house during the open houses to purchase furniture. I began taking on customers one by one working at my own pace but it didn't take long before I had multiple accounts and was running an entire home improvement business. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you had said that it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. In fact, I laugh slightly when I recall it.
