Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on August 9 1976 the oldest of four children. The parents of Audrey Tautou as a dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at an early stage. This support is more than enough for Audrey to combat her desire to become an animal scientist. She rose to prominence as a child actor quickly and with great popularity and success. Prior to beginning her acting career, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of Best Young Actress at during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer as a young girl and was brought up Catholic. But she has since gotten away from this background. In addition to her acting work, she is also pursuing modeling. The model was for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and is known as "The Chanel Muse". An avid photographer, she produced a recent exhibition during The Arles International Festival that was titled Superficial. Through her photography, she focuses primarily on celebrity and fame. Cameras are focused towards journalists who scrutinized her as she rose to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big performance in Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades at awards galas around the world. It's the largest French language film ever in the US. Later, in the same year, she was a part of British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long Sunday de Faancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
