Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (currently Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to be given a perfect score out of 10 at an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi and later became the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. Comaneci competed for the first time at the National junior championships. She finished 13th. The following year she took home the title of champion. In her first international competition in 1972, which was a pre Olympic junior meeting for communist countries she took home three gold medals In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-around champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals in her first international competition for seniors and was held in the year 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an adult. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games. She also became the first woman in the history of sport to take off the parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in travel shows like Ice Capades as a skater as well as her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol was a part of the entertainment business in her teenage years. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performance.
